Where is the gym located?

Can you give me more information about the free introduction session + 12 week program?

Sure can. Typically, you'll join a gym and then be left to figure out how to train on your own. Lots of people will resort to safe options like only doing cardio or classes, although they'd like to learn how to lift weights because this is going to be optimal for improving people's physique and strength.

How it works -

Fill out the survey

Someone will contact you to book in a time to come into the gym

The gym owner (Paul) who is a qualifed exercise scientist and probably talks too much will ask you a bunch of questions such as your goals, training history, what you'd like to work on, injury history etc

Paul will pick what exercises are going to be best suited fo your goals (plus you can add input on what exercises you'd like to learn) - and he will show you the basic technqiue cues on how to perform these exercises. He'll even give you videos after the session which you can refer back to forever. Even if you don't decide to join the gym

Paul will also give you a free custom 12 week program which is created specfically to you

How do I use a free gym trial?

Fill out the contact form at the top of this page. We'll contact you to organise a day + time so you can check the gym out. After this, you’ll be provided with 24-7 gym access

What is the minimum age for joining the gym?

No minimum age. Will just need parents or guardians consent if under 18

Do you offer casual visits?

Yes, we offer casual visit passes for $15. We also provide temporary weekly memberships for $30 per week, allowing unlimited casual visits for 7 days with 24-7 access

Do you offer coaching?

Yes, coaching is available both face-to-face and online for both beginner and experienced trainees.

How do I cancel my membership?

Easy, send us a text, call or e-mail and we can cancel straight away without needing to sign any silly forms. It takes 20 seconds to cancel someone’s membership and isn’t as difficult as bigger gyms make it out to be

Do you have powerlifting equipment?

Yes, we have competition powerlifting equipment including 5 combo racks, competition barbells and calibrated weight plates

About us

Hi, I'm Paul Attard

I’m the owner and head coach at SPC Performance Lab. After years of coaching and training in commercial gyms, I kept running into the same frustrations: overcrowding, waiting for equipment, ego-driven environments, subpar powerlifting gear, lock-in contracts that are impossible to escape, and zero sense of community.

That’s why I decided to open SPC Performance Lab. I built this gym with the mindset of: ‘If I were a member, how would I want to be treated, and what kind of environment would I want to train in?’ So I created a space designed for people who are done with the commercial gyms and focused on solving common issues in these gym types and building a community of like-minded lifters.

Since opening, we’ve been growing steadily, and my mission is to keep expanding that community while constantly improving the gym. My goal is to make sure everyone who walks through our doors feels welcome, supported, and able to become the best version of themselves.
